It can sometimes be common to see termites swarming in spring around places where the weather is more tropical – like our home in Florida. Even if this is something that is seen more often in the spring, especially after it rains or in the early afternoon, it is not a time to become complacent and ignore it. Seeing a swarm of termites can very well mean that you have a problem. In fact, any sign of termites whether it is a swarm during the milder weather or mud tubes, which are little tunnels that termites make out of dirt, is a cause for concern.

Annual inspections are one way to have peace of mind that if there is any kind of termite problem, it is taken care of before any significant damage is done. However, if you do see a swarm of termites, it is a good time to contact us if you haven’t had an inspection in the past.

Our use of Termidor is ideal for subterranean termites because it has a unique ability to attach the treatment to the termites it is exposed to. Once that happens, these termites take it back to the rest of the colony, eliminating the problem.

It is a safe and environmentally friendly product that comes with a five-year warranty and you must have an annual inspection. After that five years is up, a re-treatment is done at half the cost and you get another five years of peace of mind.

So, if you have seen one of the termite swarms around your house, don’t hesitate to take care of the problem by calling us so we can help.
